| In 2001, the company I worked for at the time was invited to pitch kid's meal toy ideas for the first Harry Potter movie. With an hour's commute to work, I picked up the first book on CD and used the time to get caught up on what this whole Harry Potter thing was all about. When I reached the end of the unabridged reading, I voraciously picked up the other two CD sets (there were only three books out at the time) to continue enjoying the adventures of the boy who lived, and I've been a fan ever since. |
I've
created pages with brief notes to help remember all (or at least
some) of the significant details of the fourth, fifth, and six books: For the first three books, cheat and watch the movies. Flickr photo gallery of Really Cool Harry Potter Stuff I own |

Back to those toys, I never got the chance to realize toys for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone; J.K. Rowling had apparently put the kabosh on the notion early on, halting Burger King's original plans. However, a few years later I finally got to add that feather (quill) to my (Sorting) hat after a friend hired me to design toys to go on top of Harry Potter-themed birthday cakes for Decopak. I did several concepts, Warner Bros. (the Harry Potter licensor) chose two, and the toys were produced for the release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. You can check them out here. Also check out one of my holiday cards posted on in my Sketchbook which has a wave of magic to its theme.
