Last week, I recently posted a blog on Blogspot about my experience last week spending midnight to six a.m. at Disneyland. The park stayed open for twenty-four hours to celebrate Leap Year Day and calling the event One More Disney Day. It was a unique experience that I enjoyed a lot and would do again if Disney repeated it in 2016.
As I headed out of the park when it closed, it was great to see Mickey and his friends dressed in their pajamas and waving us goodbye. Click the photo to reach my full blog where more photos and a video I took are included.
I usually like to plan things out and get really comfortable that the goals I set out at the start are all pretty much fulfilled. But today, I've decided I'm gonna change it up a bit.
For years, I've wanted to revamp my website. I first put it up in 2002. And like anyone after a few years I wanted to do a remodel, like buying new furniture or re-arranging the pieces in one's living room. But for one reason or another, I just didn't make it happen. Partly it was because I couldn't design something I was happy with -- a typical self-criticism designers constantly battle.
Compounding that challenge was my insistence that I include both content that was professional (i.e., my portfolio) and personal (i.e., hobbies and interests). It was the latter that overwhelmed me. As friends know, I have an abundance of pop culture interests, a lot of geek stuff that still seems to entertain and even awe them. And I just hadn't been able to rope that in an a succinct structure for a website.
Today, after failed attempt after failed attempt, I decided to flaunt my indecisiveness. Today, the new FrankPepito.com has arrived! And with just a home page and blog and sans the portfolio or popular photo galleries of my previous design, it is 100% incomplete.
But it's changed! And more changes - and sections - are definitely soon to come. Watch this space.
